There are a maximum of 8 children in each 3rd-5th grade Pathfinders cohort (1:8 adult:child ratio). Each child is placed with the group that is the best match for their developmental readiness. For instance, Pathfinders has a cohort of 3rd and 4th graders and a cohort of 4th and 5th graders.
While cohorts are separated during the morning core academic block, at least two — and often more — Pathfinders groups travel together as a unit to their place-based enrichment site each afternoon.
